Manuel ran 49.39, the other girls in her heat were all over the 50-sec mark in the 2nd heat, Newnham went down to 49.09 and also Klaver (49.87) and Jaeger (49.92) ran below 50s (Iuel got close, 50.17) no other girl overall went below the 50-sec mark (and very few went 50.x)
