The Olympic season! The stakes are high, let the bitching begin!

Vilukhina said Landova to stop having fun because she won't give her medal back.

Skardino said after this race that Gabi has a bad attitude & she can't judge doping offenders anybody because nobody knows how it was.

Like all the proofs never happened :mumble:

There's only one real Gabi in the world of biathlon and she competes in the IBU Cup for now.

Vitkova fantastic skiing as always, Puskarcikova outstanding shooting. Jessica OK. I really think Charvatova should go to the IBU Cup for a few races, she does not cope with pressure well, and her shooting won't improve unless she has some less intense races. Johanidesova.. shooting clear, but 5 minutes behind, I really can't endorse selecting her for the sprint at all. Unless there was an unforseen problem or something that she had to stop for.

I say bring in Davidova and Zvaricova for the sprint. Both did fantastic in IBU Cup. Hopefully we still have 6 quotas, right? :p

Why not at the World Cup? ;)

Oh... right. Brazil!

Hopefully some big names will make it. The Czech coaches do tend to make strange decisions.

Exactly, I'm not going to see biathlon specifically, I'm going to see my friends, and that's a little hard if they compete in the IBU Cup and I'm going to a World Cup competition :p

They can put Davidova over to the World Cup team after Obertilliach :d

Haha. I would like to see Zvaricova back though. She was such a talent but got hit by a car, and has been trying to get into the A team since..

Crnković didn't have more than 2 misses at any of the shootings. :yikes:

Hopefully he'll repeat it in sprint where his raw speed will be more useful. :d

Herrmann could have had one more miss and conquer a medal still o_0

Dzhima lost a lot of weight & changed her skiing technique completely before the previous season and I'm happy that this risk paid off. + our whole team bought the new rifles and she managed to learn how to shoot properly after such skiing tempo (2 races, six 0's).

I feel sad for Varvynets. She's got ill knees and she will go through surgery right after this season ends. Not sure if she stays in the reserve.

    • The only ones complaining about the short track refs are Italians, imo. Not even on this forum, but in general, from what I've been seeing on live chats and other social media sites. That says a lot to be honest. I suspect it's partially due to them not performing to the high standard they're expected to perform at especially at the Olympics. The refs make a lot of mistakes for everyone, there's no bias against or towards anyone    Plus, Italy have won 6 medals already.... the most you've won at a Worlds since 2016.
    • For me they gave Canada the gold in the relay in exchange for a 1000-meter dsq gold for Dandjinou, that's how I see it. It was a battle between Kor and Can on 2 of this case. It's hard to say why that last dsq for Kor was in relay? Of course, Italy win bronze thanks for that, but that's not really important. It would have been better if the referees had just stayed out of the results and left it as it was decided for fight on the ice.

    • the quata for europe or australia is from the primer 12, where the top 20 teams will participate, sadly  is the 21th team so the only slight chance for us in my opinion is if: we get top 2 at the european championship (not including  hopefully if they get the quata), then somehow win the final qualification tournament against i assume  and one of    the chances for us are slim, i think about 4 other team sports  have a better chance in in my opinion(and the most team sports we ever had was one, and it was the last two time after a long time )

    • well, Cuba and Venezuela for sure...   Iran is a different question, but I hope in 2 years all this war shit is done and dusted and at least in the sports world everything is gonna be OK
    • In my opinion the Italian team has been playing above expectations since last year after several years of decline. Last year, we advanced to the first division at the European Championships and now they're playing very close matches against the strong India and Scotland. We a little miss a potential to do more – we are only 18th in the world rankings. Our men's team's performance in this sport is much weaker.
