The first Japanese podium even, not counting a Japanese win in a 'Mass start B' in Oslo in 1999.

9th World cup podium this season + 3 at the Olympics so overall 12 podiums for Nastya this season. Very successful season.

Apparently, Julia Ransom is retiring from Biathlon as well and that's a huge blow to Team Canada, as Ransom was becoming better and better with every year and even two Top 10s this season.
