Yeah sadly that's true :( I see Peru tries to "bounce back" but is right now unable to. Hopefully they are as mentally strong az Kazakhstan and we'll see a much better ending to this set ( & of course, a better 3rd set )

FIVB still would have two possible excuses: 1) He wasnt really part of the team, because he didnt play. He didnt have any impact on the game. 2) Meldonium became illegal at the end of 2015.

I can't believe the level Peru just played vs Dominican R. they even scored block points!

 

I hope they can challenge Thailand and Korea for qualification.

Wow so the posts have been merged here :d When i first came here i was like " where are all the posts ? Did the forun crash overnight? " :d

Wow i just saw the result pf Dominican Republic vs. Peru... it seems like Dominicans will be one of the weaker teams here... i definitely did not expect that... they already have very little chance for qualifying plus upcoming matches with Italy & The Netherlands :yikes:

Dominican Republic played so so bad today, really tragic. Before the tournament I really thought they had a good possibility to earn a sport at the Olympics, but now their dream is gone.

 

Peru has a good team, but I think the last spot will really go to either South Korea or Thailand (which had a fantastic first set against Italy today before things go the expected way).

      I'll jump on the off-topic with an unpopular opinion - ice hockey isn't so stamina demanding to justify 25 people rosters. And it doesn't have big playing fields like football or rugby for example, where you'd require so many reserves. 15 field players + 3 goalies should be good. Or 18+3 at max. But 25 is too much imo and the constant substitutes are too much as well.

      Hockey team sizes is not what is causing NC to be at risk of being dropped.   It has the lowest viewership and least amount of diversity in terms of medalists (IOC's words)
