Thank you for putting this together, it was fun to go through. From your keyboard to God's ears on Canada's short track team here (I believe you have us at 4-1-1, which is realistic if everything works out). Leaving us off the podium in speed skating women's pursuit was interesting. Three medals of any colour in curling would be celebrated at this point after two disasterous cycles. In hockey, I'll always take our girls over the Americans (was "lucky" enough to see them lose in 2018 in person, though. Only time in 6 Games. Haha...hahahahaha...ha). For the men, I said above unless Canada finds a goaltender I'm not too optimistic. USA is just too well rounded. But lots can happen by then, and in a one game elimination tournament. -
big decision by IWF new weight categories, 8 for men and 8 for women from June 2025 Men 60kg, 65kg, 71kg, 79kg, 88kg, 98kg, 110kg, +110kg Women 48kg, 53kg, 58kg, 63kg, 69kg, 77kg, 86kg, +86kg and this means all World records will be erased AGAIN ! https://iwf.sport/2024/12/03/iwf-executive-board-meeting-in-manama-brn-december-2-3-main-decisions/ I think that was a good decision, 10 weights was too much. but erasing the current World Records was the down side of this decision. but does this mean they have some agreements with IOC to have all these weights at the Olympics ? that looks unlikely though but looking at the numbers and the gap between weights none of them look like a "non-Olympic weight" at least that's what IWF thinks. -

Your team was good first 45 minutes and Romania was better in the last 15 minutes. To be honest, when I saw your advantage of 5 goals I didn't expected such final results for us. I wanted to write here congrats to you during the match because I thought it's over for us, but I'm glad that I'm the person who receive the congrats this evening Btw, Montenegro was leading Czechia 12-4 at half-time they woke up too late in second half and they are out, Romania goes to the next round
