Exactly. I can't believe how hypocritical some people are - it's perfectly normal when Ledecky or Sjostrem win medal after medal, but not when Russians do so

I'd go for 50 - 100 - 400 - 1500 - 4x100 (NOT MIXED :d )

 

Then you've got a true sprint, an 'endurance sprint', a middle distance and a mostly endurance event.

Well, they really didn't want to get rid of Olympic tradition of women's 800/men's 1500...

No. they didn't want to remove any of them. :p And yet IOC is pushing the equality, so there was only one option really...

 

I'd definitely keep 200 and 4x200, one of the best events.
