It's definitely going to pay off some day :) And it would be good if it paid off when it matters most, at the Olympics :d I'm crossing my fingers for your team(s) :fingers:

We'll cheer for our friends beyond the Alps ;) (Only if you don't play against us, like the football WC in 2006  . Only joke, of ;))

We like the 4th and 5th place :p We have a lot of good placements in the bithlon, luge and alpine skiing WC. It's good, no problems, but i hope too se some medals in Korea :p

Wierer and Hofer didn't really show up this season. And I'm guessing Oberhofer's out with some health problems? Other than that, Windish seems fairly strong, Vittozzi should come back even stronger next year, Runggaldier has regained some of her previous form and Sanfilippo is a contender as well. You'll surely have medals in Korea.

Ďakujem! I love our women's team

It's fairly nice to see Cecilia Aymonier making a successful transfer from cross-country skiing. I wonder if Hermann will have the same luck next year, although it's very difficult to get in to the German team.

PS: Also, if Latuilliere works on her shooting there'll be another strong French on the rise on a team that's already very strong.

speaking about luck

Dzhima had an involuntary shot o__0  (VERY rare thing in biathlon but it happens) in the individual race which cost her a medal.

Varvynets - her bullet got stuck in the relay.

Oh, well that's much better news then. Cause she was having a bad start at Ostersund, so I only assumed there was something wrong with her form :p Hopefully she'll get back like Dorin-Habert.

I very much wish her a strong Olympic campaign, even more so after the drama of her father being found dead in Lake Garda last year (exactly one year ago this weekend by the way).

Oh man, after biathlonews closed down, I don't get any biathlon news on the other teams so I don't know anything what so ever anymore. Damn, I hope Oberhofer gets all 6 golds in Korea, she needs it.

    • The only ones complaining about the short track refs are Italians, imo. Not even on this forum, but in general, from what I've been seeing on live chats and other social media sites. That says a lot to be honest. I suspect it's partially due to them not performing to the high standard they're expected to perform at especially at the Olympics. The refs make a lot of mistakes for everyone, there's no bias against or towards anyone    Plus, Italy have won 6 medals already.... the most you've won at a Worlds since 2016.
    • For me they gave Canada the gold in the relay in exchange for a 1000-meter dsq gold for Dandjinou, that's how I see it. It was a battle between Kor and Can on 2 of this case. It's hard to say why that last dsq for Kor was in relay? Of course, Italy win bronze thanks for that, but that's not really important. It would have been better if the referees had just stayed out of the results and left it as it was decided for fight on the ice.

    • the quata for europe or australia is from the primer 12, where the top 20 teams will participate, sadly  is the 21th team so the only slight chance for us in my opinion is if: we get top 2 at the european championship (not including  hopefully if they get the quata), then somehow win the final qualification tournament against i assume  and one of    the chances for us are slim, i think about 4 other team sports  have a better chance in in my opinion(and the most team sports we ever had was one, and it was the last two time after a long time )

    • well, Cuba and Venezuela for sure...   Iran is a different question, but I hope in 2 years all this war shit is done and dusted and at least in the sports world everything is gonna be OK
    • In my opinion the Italian team has been playing above expectations since last year after several years of decline. Last year, we advanced to the first division at the European Championships and now they're playing very close matches against the strong India and Scotland. We a little miss a potential to do more – we are only 18th in the world rankings. Our men's team's performance in this sport is much weaker.
    • I wonder if all Cuba, Iran and Venezuela will be able to travel and compete in LA at all... Hopefully that yes.
