The following athletes might have a chance to fight for a medal in London:

Mens 60/400/800/1500 m: Maybe Kszczot (800 m)

Mens 60 m hurdles: Maybe Martinot-Lagarde

Mens long/high jump: -

Mens triple jump: Maybe Heß

Mens pole vault: Maybe Lisek or Holzdeppe

Mens shot put: Maybe (hopefully not) Bukowiecki

Womens 60/400/800 m: -

Womens 1500 m: Maybe Muir

Womens 60 m hurdles: All 3 medallists

Womens long jump: Spanovic

Womens high jump: The girl from Lithuania and maybe Beitia

Womens triple jump: -

Womens pole vault: Stefanidi

Womens shot put: -

So overall the level of competition was very weak.

I'm shocked that he don't get a medal, very strange 800m

Why on earth are they doing a flag handover to Glasgow in the middle of the events?

The next race will start in 10 minutes. They probably have to cover a hole :p

Level of the high jump competition is very bad without the italian, ukrainian and russian guys.

    • Suspect strongly that the Sultan of  is behind Global Wushu!     Another one is long distance & ultra triathlon.  There are literally millions being paid out in prize money to attract big name athletes from several sports, huge FTA TV coverage but seemingly no prospect of any profit.   And the classic is obstacle racing, which has effectively bought up the ownership of Modern Pentathlon.
    • apparently the Japanese organizers rejected OCA's nice request    now OCA is ordering them to do so in a not-so-nice language https://oca.asia/media/attachments/memberships_subcommittee/5/Decision_-_103rd_OCA_EB_Meeting_5ypY8y4.pdf   the last line is very interesting   I knew this for a while, for example that's why Jujjtsu is included in all of OCA events (despite being the worst sport to watch) but good to see OCA admit this. so with the corrupt OCA you can buy your way in. how much they paid the OCA officials for this ?   OK I know Qatar is financially supporting Padel (and UAE is paying everything for Jujitsu) but who is behind Teqball?  ! I don't think Thailand can do that.
