During the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, the venue will serve as venue for all competitions of Fencing, Taekwondo and Wrestling, with the latter staged on the bigger hall with capacity of 8000 spectators, Fencing and TKD on the smaller hall for 6000 spectators. Opened in 2017 the venue includes swimming pool and gymnasium. However, for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, it will host all Badminton competitions and will be also the venue for the opening Modern Pentathlon events - Fencing. Opened in May 2000 as multi-purpose arena with its 35000 spectacular capacity is the 4th largest indoor arena in the world. For the Tokyo Olypics the capacity will be shortened to 21.000. Different major sport competitions has been staged here, like the Figure Skating World Championships, the arena is also the Only venue in Japan that ever hosted a NHL match between Nashville and Pittsburgh in 2000, just like some NBA practice games and Basketball World Championships matches will now serve for the Olympics as the home of Basketball Competions. Odori Park in Japanese "Large park" spans 1.5 km and covers 78,901 m² was originally designated as the main street but it eventually became a park and divide the City of Sapporo into north and south. Throughout the year, many events and ceremonies were held there, and this time for the Toyko Olympics has been selected to host the Race Walking and both Olympic Marathons. The venue hosted several concerts and other cultural events, and many sport events as well. Primarily the stadium is used for Baseball, but hosted also some matches of Australian rules football. During the Olympics in Tokyo 2020 the stadium will be the main venue of Baseball and Softball return to the Olympics including all medal matches. Located in the Olympic city of Sapporo on the Hokaido island 830km north of Tokyo. Primarily the arena is used for Baseball, but also for Football. The venue was also the place of the Opening ceremony of 2017 Asian Winter Games, this time will host in total 10 matches of the Football tournaments, only preliminary round games.
