But no, you decide to go to the Tour de France's asshole to start the next stage with 50 flat kilometers....towards those same mountains! Because the first question the TdF organisers ask about any town they visit is not “Does it provide great racing conditions?” or “Does it have legions of enthusiastic fans?” but “Does it have 6000 unbooked hotel rooms in July?”     
 

So I’m guessing that Pau is the only town in the mid-Pyrenees that can guarantee that every year.

They only just started the first climb - which absolutely should be HC instead of 1 - and the main group is being shattered.
