HOCKEY SEASON 2016-17 IS ALMOST HERE!!!!

yesss!!! maybe even a little bit too early I guess...

however, I can't wait for it (but I'm going to ignore the first 2 rounds of the Champions Hockey League, since they are going to be played during the second week of the Olympics :yikes:)...

I'm going to start my "personal" hockey season only with the KHL opener, on Monday, August 22nd...:d

Slovakian part of the Team Europe for the upcomming World Cup of Hockey had a press conference today.

NHL lords should be really happy that they selected Šatan as the General manager of the team, our players just couldn´t say no to him

from left the legend of the slovak sports legends and IIHF hall of fame member 2002 world champion Peter Bondra was selected as Šatan´s assistent for the world cup (WHAT A STAFF ) Zdeno Chára (Boston Bruins), Marián Gáborík (Los Angeles Kings), Miroslav Šatan (Slovak hockey legend World champion, 2 times silver medalist and bronze medalist from WCH) now general manager of team europe, Marián Hossa (Chicago Black Hawks) and Tomáš Tatár (Detroit Red Wings) the goalie of the NY Islanders Jaroslav Halák is missing in the picture (he had a surgery this summer, but will be back and ready for the tournament)

There are still girls like Pirovano, who are quite young and are already started winning. Alpine skiing in Italy is similar to ski jumping in Poland: there are speak about no young talents, but there is always someone new – it is a matter of the popularity of these sports in these countries and the large amounts of money invested in them.
