So what's the record? :p

Or you mean it has never happened before that Japan isn't represented in the 100 free?

Thanks! Dear Lord, talk about rough standards..

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

That is crazy, 48.25 would have come 5th at the 2015 World Championships in the 100m Free and he would have made the final at London 2012.

For the Women's 53.88 would have put her 9th at London 2012 and 6th at 2015 World Championships.

Hopefully they have another think about their selection policy and allow the two of them to compete at the Olympics.

We’ll see, they might let them (and possibly the second place finishers) compete since they are already competing in the relay.

Apparently Kosuke Kitajima has announced the end of his career. He swam the Japanese standard in the 100 breast in the semi-finals, but the Japanese rules apparently say he had to do so in the final, which he didn't...so no Rio for him :(

Not a bad day for the Canadian team, only one quota left on the table. Our relay team is extremely young, with everyone between the ages of 18 and 22. Lacroix is the oldest team member at 32. With the exception of Lacroix, Cochran and Weinberger every swimmer Canada has qualified is under the age of 25.
