South American Youth Games 2026

Recommended Posts

Well, I must say that two gold medals in wrestling is not something common for us (and one of them in men's freestyle!!!!), even at the South American level. So I'm satisfied.

:ARG winning judo golds, :BRA winning wrestling golds, and :VEN winning table tennis golds. It's all topsy-turvy at the moment :p

Two gold medals for :ARG Agostina Hein :clap:with two new (senior) south american records!

8:22:01 in 800 FR and 2:10:82 in 200 IM.

(she did the IM only 10 minutes after racing the 800)

I think we could realistically be in every boxing final here.

But some idiot got too provocative during the fight and got knocked out.  Well, he's young, so let him take it as experience.

3 golds for Hein in the first day with records.....our best young  sportwoman by far.....

She made 54-something in the 100 FR mixed relay. Would've also won the gold in the individual 100m contested earlier in the session had she entered it.

Ayala Arellano :VEN with a superb sprint to win the men's road race. :BRA (Dourado Da Silva and Silva Areujo Gomes) had perfect positioning the final u-turn before the finish, but Ayala Arellano had the better kick.
