In training, Strate was 10th, 9th, and 5th on the large hill.

IMO very good. Those two are the real gold favourites. Not that the Americans are bad, but they're not on the same level.

It's really good since there is a big gap between 3rd and 4th. Not that the Americans can be taken for granted, but  and  are likely going to need to go all out in order to beat each other, and the final is on the same session as the semi so fatigue can be a factor (we saw that in 2022 with both the men's and women's pursuit, though in the case of the women's pursuit it didn't end up mattering since a Japanese skater fell)
