Big shock as :CZE beat the all-conquering :NED Men's Team Sprint team in the Heats!

no Hoogland and V.D. Berg as 3rd, though ;)

in the same event, :ITA keeps improving, taking an unexpecting bronze and cutting the time gap with :GBR and :FRA

however, Konya confirms as a very, very fast track

also both the M & W team pursuit prelims were very quick, despite the main teams were not at full strenght

new WR also in women's team pursuit by :GBR:yikes:

this track is really something else...

hope it doesn't come out that's shorter than 250m 😈🥳

Konya is kind of at altitude - about 1000m, so about the same as those athletic tracks in Switzerland and France where people go to get their qual times.

    • Suspect this will have major consequences for the Paralympics going forward. Could see a collation of countries wanting to set up up a rivial movement,
    • This is the rule of FIFA : If Iran withdraw  Iraq will qualify even if they lose  If they win Emirats will qualify
    • We will need a lot od changes in our staff after this season and I hope our federation will have the money for that`s. Unfortunately, your staff and ski services blew almost the entire Olympics and now we're still in the same situations. Due to their terrible form, we won 1/2 fewer medals than we actually did. Our team has skis on par with Moldova or Kazakhstan – shame!
    • Anning is not here but the new 400 meters format is (2x final heats of 4 athletes each, combined times decide podium).   Natalia Bukowiecka absolutely blasted it and I guess that's a popular feeling among athletes
