It's not even Four Hills and :BUL Zografski has set his PB for World Cup points already! His previous best season was 2012/13 :p

Having more points after only 8 starts, than his previous best full season is wild. His inclusion in training with the German team the past few season has really paid off this year.

Btw, I'm really enjoying the start of this season with the new Slovenian dominance. Domen looks like the incarnation of his older brother. :d

Domen was dominating in WC long time ago at the start of the 2016/2017 season as a teenager.

Yeah, Norway is still reeling from the cheating scandal, Austrians ain't that dominant but Kraft is back as their #1 and Germany's best two jumpers are a complete surprise while Geiger and Wellinger are terrible. Obviously Poland sucks except Tomasiak.

We actually ditched the stupid WOG qual system counting points from 2024 Summer GP onwards but it's kinda clear we might only send 3 jumpers to Cortina (the system had 3 qualified on these points plus one coach choice which would have been Tomasiak most likely alas that's all gone south in five weeks). Right now it looks like Tomasiak & Stoch will be chosen plus a tortoise race between Zyla, Kot and ???). Wąsek is nowhere compared to last season, Kubacki is a potato sack and Zniszczol who so wanted Thurnbichler out is hilariously bad and most Polish fans enjoy his karma downfall.

Generally, something's happening: a Bulgarian, a Frenchman, an Estonian... It's just a shame that the Italians are getting worse with each passing four-year cycle, when it should be the other way around. I don't know why these people are getting money (staff, coach etc), but someone like Insam was performing brilliantly until the 2024 WGP, when he was at Faubert's level, and where are they now?

Prevc wins again. Nikaido & R.Kobayashi swapped placed. Foubert in 4th just missed out on that elusive :FRA podium in men's ski jumping (the last one remains Dessum in Kuopio 1997). And I'm old enough to remember Nicolas Jean-Prost too...

If Pagnier were in the same form she was two years ago... But she'd still be missing two other riders for the mixed doubles. Now the question is, why couldn't Insam jump like Faubert? After all, they were at a similar level in the 2024 WGP.

Last Italy podium? Morassi 2007? Because Cecon, it's the deep 90s. In my opinion, Italian ski jumping was in its best shape around 2006/2007, then now... Colloredo, then Morassi, and now the inconsistent Insam and Bresadola, who have been injured. We probably also had more active ski jumpers in 2006 than we do now.
