Road Cycling UCI World Championships 2025

I don't know if Ganna shouldn't return to the track for 100%- he won't win anything on the road anyway and he is probably rich enough now that it's not just about money and constant defeats. He can still win gold medals individually and with the team on the track + try his chance at the Omnium and Madison, becouse why not? Milan is a different story, because the sprints aren't currently dominated and he can still get a win something great from time to time. I just hope that the Slovenian and Belgian are under scrutiny and have no protection at the top and even if they do, they won't get away with it like Lance did 20 years ago.

Pagacar and Evenepoel should really slow down a bit, because this is looking so grotesque in this moment in history of cycling... At least Armstrong was slowing down a bit – he limited only to the TDF and I don't remember that he attacking with 100km to go, etc... Landis did something like that once on the TDF in 2006 and got busted immediately. Pagacar does this practically all year round and I'm supposed to believe it`s a normal? The same with Evenepoel – the guy returned from Rwanda just 3 days ago after a massacre Sunday battle on a difficult course and today he is crushing the fresh Ganna, who's an very good time trialist? I think I will actually give up on this sport, because it's increasingly insulting to my intelligence...

Whether you want to believe or not is up to you, bu normal? No. Pogacar is the rider of the century and might very well end his career as the GOAT (still a bit behind Merckx, but a few more years at this level...).

In most other sports it would be seen with the greatest respect, but in a sport with cycling's history it is red lights at once.

I'm already old enough to remember delight about Armstrong, reading books about his battle with cancer, etc., and then it turned out the way it did. It's hard to repeat the same mistake... Although, of course, almost all of Armstrong's rivals were also doping (Ullrich, Beloki, etc.), and he still crushed them.
