I'm very happy for  Hammerle ofc because if it was anyone else I'd probably stop watching the Olympics (just from this alone you can probably tell how much this means to me), and a silver is okay for  Grondin, but man this hurts more than words can explain. I so badly more than anything in the world wanted the Olympic gold for him, and he couldn't do it. 

 

It's more than just the medal, it's one of my top 10 favourite athletes, maybe even 5 in sporting history, who came so close in Beijing and he just missed out again here.

Do you believe this is the event where Slovakia won its first historic medal. It took 4 WOG for us to win first medal and it happened to be in this

If there's a positive to this, erm there isn't much of one, but even though this is his 3rd Olympics he's still only 24, and hopefully he'll have a few more chances at getting it done

90% of them are in short track, which is unpredictable especially at the Olympics, and Italy will take full advantage of the rink and win most the golds. Except Velzeboer in the 500m and Rim in the 1000m. Howden in ski cross, who doesn't perform at major meets, and Kingsbury in dual moguls are our only other chances, but he'll be in the lead and then the judges will overscore someone else to overtake him unfortunately 

 

Edit: I don't trust either Homan or our men's hockey team, if they do good this week with their results then we'll see that might change.
