not here, not in 2026, not at these Olympics

Dude, Canada just got bumped by the Koreans and no call. The Dutch skater almost took out the Canadian skater from behind, and you think Canada should get a penalty?

Canada lost potentially 4-5 medals at the last two Olympics due to suspicious calls. These Games have been pretty darn fair all around. Contact =/= DQ.

Unfortunately, after the 1000-meter final and now, it see, that Arianna is showing her age. She wouldn't have let herself be outdone like that back some years ago. But applaus to her! In a sport where the judging mafia does whatever it wants, it's a great achievement to win so many medals when you're not part of the strongest nations.

And they cut Sighela three times and what? And that's right here in our house... Nobody was cheating on you in Vancouver 2010, and certainly not some clown from Hungary.

What do you mean ruin your Olympics? :ITA is overperforming expectations in short track, the only country doing better is :NED.

overperforming?

I don't think so

Sighel should have 3 medals, at least 1 gold individually

and despite the world cup standings, where we never used the full team, the mixed relay was definitely a gold medal candidate

even Nadalini and Spechenhauser got world cup podiums individually and here got nothing

we can say we underperformed, rather

Sieghel winning a gold medal individually would have been a mild upset, not sure why you think it’s reasonable to *expect* him to win at least one.

The mixed relay was a gold medal candidate but certainly not the favorite. TBH I think it’s more than fair that there was not a single short track event Italy was favoured to win.

Roussel yellow card in the 1500M. Its happened here.

with what he did, he should have got a red card, not yellow

You’re gonna have to point out where in the rulebook you’re getting that from because like… no xD

I’m not contesting the call, it was two penalties from my viewing too. But how the heck would it be a red?

maybe because in the last couple of seasons he won a world title, world cup races and world cup standings?

and because all the other skaters repeatedly said he's one of the most talented and spectacular skaters they've seen in the last few years

    • c'mon! stop those idiots! they're trying hard to ruin athletics in almost every aspect (road running, field events, the same cross country that has already been killed in practice)   please, someone shoot to death Coe and his accolades as soon as possible!!!
    • That's only if they don't listen to Trump's 48 hour deadline. But that is permanently 48 hours away, since, well, TACO.
    • I agree NO to Poomsae!!!   I think they plan to introduce 6 weight classes after LA instead of 8 right now, and those 6 should become Olympic instead of current 4 weights. Going forward world and Olympic ranking could be identical.    But it’s not clear if that means more quotas. Having 6 classes with 64 athletes per gender would be a joke. A reasonable taekwondo competition needs at least 16 athletes per weightclass. But I am not sure taekwondo can get another 64 quotas in total, I doubt it.    beside that I am not happy with the newly proposed weight classes, they give much more focus on light weight athletes, which will be an advantage for Asian countries mainly.    if the proposal is accepted the new weightclasses will be:    Female: 46kg, 51kg, 57kg, 63kg,70kg and +70kg    Male: 54kg, 60kg, 67kg,74kg, 82kg, +82kg
