If there's a positive to this, erm there isn't much of one, but even though this is his 3rd Olympics he's still only 24, and hopefully he'll have a few more chances at getting it done I'm already counting down the days until the French-Alps Olympics begins

The circus goes on. The IOC annuled accreditation of Herskevych to make him leave the Olympic village. The IOC reinstated accreditation of Herskevych - so he can stay at the Games. TAS/CAS to follow and... it turned out that the IOC disqualified Herskevych BEFORE the start when he did not wear the helmet. So there was no violation by the moment of disqualification. -

I'm very happy for Hammerle ofc because if it was anyone else I'd probably stop watching the Olympics (just from this alone you can probably tell how much this means to me), and a silver is okay for Grondin, but man this hurts more than words can explain. I so badly more than anything in the world wanted the Olympic gold for him, and he couldn't do it. It's more than just the medal, it's one of my top 10 favourite athletes, maybe even 5 in sporting history, who came so close in Beijing and he just missed out again here.
