https://curlingstadiumeurope.com/buy-pass

Apparently they're having issues with live-streaming (only can see two sheets), so you can get a pass at a reduced cost of £5.75.  (I don't pay for this or for the Curling TV service, so idk if the Curling TV also covers this event, if it is reduced, etc.  Just passing along the info I found.)

I just wish they would post highlights or something...it's nothing.

So :CZE is now 5-0 and now it's written there >OQE .... I know that they have already secured first spot in the Round Robin but does it mean that they don't go to play off and qualified directly to the Olympic Qualification event? Shouldnt best 4 teams play the play-off? Screenshot_2025-10-10-20-25-33-306_com.android.chrome-edit.jpg

No, I'm sure they'll finish up the comp because ranking points are also important for other events, but it means that the other teams now have only 3 places to play for.

1st place automatically advances to the OQE, 2nd to 4th will play for the remaining two places with 2nd and 3rd getting at least two opportunities to qualify.

:PHI qualifying for the Olympics would be very funny, not just because the entire team is :SUI that got :PHI citizenship through ancestry but also because their lead is a sex toy webstore millionaire who started curling a few years ago with the explicit goal of qualifying for the Olympics.

And the thing is they are, actually, quite good and taking it very seriously.

Edit: lol, the sex toy guy is now the alternate, they found a new lead who's :CAN:PHI

    • Sablikova started on the road cycling and just almost qualified for Rio 2016. Maybe Lollobrigida would like to join the Italian track team? She has the good character and 2 medals at the Olympics, one in winter and one in summer, would be a legendary achievement, not only in Italy.   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martina_Sáblíková
    • One Wiebes is worth more than the all Italian team with Balsamo/Fidanza, etc., that much clear. Even if the Netherlands loses its dominance in the men's sprint, Wiebes will win 2-3 gold medals in other events. Just relax, man.
    • I'm most worried about our women's team in the pursuit – we have a reserve squad, but not advancing to the top 8 is a shame. We recently competed with out 1 team and had not good in 1 round. It doesn't look good. And the Netherlands are already taking Wiebes to the track team and will soon dominate the Madison/Omnium as well. Balsamo and Paternoster haven't made any progress for years and the our women's team at the Olympics has little chance to win a medal. Italy might even win World Championship/European Championship gold in the years after the Olympics, etc., but when the real fight comes, the UK or the USA will always beat us
    • Track cycling is one of the few sports where there is no host nation quota, so  will need to work hard to achieve our quotas.  It's not our best sport, but was happy to see Top 10 results in the Elimination Race for Grant Koontz and Emma Jimenez Palos (who is just 18!).
    • Yes, I saw the same thing you did @clemsonbeav (on both accounts) but I agree it looks pretty stock.
    • Also, I just logged back into my account, where it sent me to update my profile, and when I saved that, I got a screen that included a check mark next to 'Registered for the Draw'.  Not sure I totally trust it, but it does at least say so.  (There's nothing specifically referencing Drop 2 or anything...might just be a stock screen.). I'm curious what it would look like if you looked at it @esube.  https://tickets.la28.org/
    • I didn't buy any tickets, but didn't get the e-mail.   We bought tickets on my wife's account (earlier timeslot), but not 12, and she got the e-mail.

    • I am very curious.  We got extremely lucky in the first ticket drop, both my and my wife's emails were selected for relatively early time slots-- early enough that we bought our full allotment of tickets for good stuff.  Not swimming or gymnastics of course, but we were really pleased,  d   But today I received an email on one of those accounts saying that we were entered into the second drop because we hadn't used up our 12 ticket allotment.  I went back and counted-- twice-- and yes, we certainly did purchase 12 tickets on that account.      I am not sure I want any more!  Did this happen to anybody else?
