Juantorena, Taismary Aguero, Wlifriede Leon, Leal, Melissa Vargas (all volleyball), Andy Diaz etc. Why should refugees from Russia can be discriminated against from those from Cuba?

Who are the Russian athletes who are refugees in Italy?

There aren't any yet (at least we don't know about it) but we can assume that they will appear. It's enough for someone not to support the war there and they risk imprisonment or certainly being thrown out of the national team. The head of the Russian Federation is a crazy women - Vjalbe, who once wanted to drop an atomic bomb on London. I doubt that any normal person would want to have someone like that as their boss and the head of the sports federation is the boss of athletes.

yeah, and it would be enough time to transfer. pity noone tried to bring athletes there

You are Russian, so maybe you know what will happen to an athlete in Russia if he/she doesn`t publicly support the war with Ukraine (in the sense that he/she will criticize her, for example, in the media in the West)?

Finally! :d

That was definitely something we saw coming this entire season, question was if he'd do it at a World Cup or when it really mattered and turns out it was the latter, perfect timing, even after a false start

By the way, Joe Beune is a very beautiful woman :) Much prettier than the overrated Leerdam in my opinion. And the constant showing of her funny boyfriend from the USA? is a bit too much for me:lol:

Be lucky you probably don't get to watch the Dutch championships, it was significantly worse there than it has been here so far :hairpull:

For my a the hottest ones are: Beune, Wiklund and Lollobrigida. Leerdam is too artificial and has too much make-up.

I don't really know, my favourite in the longer distances is Conijn because she's always the most enthusiastic and excited one :d (and she seems nice, her first reaction to hearing she beat Wiklund for bronze by 0,01 seconds was "aw that's a bummer for Ragne" in a way that definitely sounded like she meant it)

Lieke Klaver has a really nice body, although she's not really my type. Femke Bol is so funny - a bit of a girl-next-door type of beauty:)

What the actual fuck, Joep Wennemars is the 1000m world champion :hyper:

Also really cool to see the images of him jumping in the arms of coach Jac Orie, who also coached his dad Erben Wennemars to a world title. Erben, who for years already is present as expert for the NOS so obviously he was here as well and he was even way more emotional :d

    • Also a first: never before has a Dutch pair participated in the games, according to media rapports.
    • The Technical director of the Dutch Olympic Committee has, using his discretionary powers, decided to include them in the team. He cites “extra-ordinary circumstances”, but has not stated what they are. The use of these powers is quite rare. They were used in 2022 to nominate an alpine-skier.
