Just like Italy's women's team, I hope our men's team sees some changes this year, especially after last year's disaster.

OH continues to be a problem for us. Of those called up last year, the situation is depressing at their clubs: Bergmann (bench), Bento (bench), Maicon (bench), Lucarelli (bench), Honorato is weak and I think he got injured. So we only have Adriano here... :lol:

Perhaps an alternative would be to put two opposites on the court considering the number of international-level opposite hitters we currently have: Darlan, Samuel, Bryan, Sabino, Chizona, Roque, Oppenkoski...

if you can find one of them being able to receive the ball, it's definitely an option worth to be explored by the coaching staff

:ITA tragedy in Istanbul :yikes:

Both Conegliano (2-3 vs VakifBank, after leading 2-0) and Scandicci (2-3 vs Eczacibasi) lost their respective semifinal match in the Champions League Final Four  :hairpull:

therefore the title match will feature a :TUR derby (a re-match of the 2022/2023 final) and :ITA won't be represented for the first time after 2 consecutive wins

:TUR VakifBank Istanbul won their 7th Champions League beating city rival Eczacibasi by a score of 3-1 (25-20; 25-21; 21-25; 25-18)

There are things I find pathetic, but saying a competition is unnecessary right after you don't qualify for it is the typical display of a loser. Pietro Maschio, when Conegliano qualifies for the Club World Cup next time, should refuse to participate like the Polish clubs do and stop spouting nonsense.

Oh, and he also spoke badly of the Brazilian organization at the last world championship, even saying that the athletes contracted fleas, haha. It's brave to say that when the main Brazilian player is on the team and to think that Brazilians will accept it calmly.

It didn't take long for the apology to come (they even did it in Portuguese).

Imoco's squad is getting older, and it will be increasingly difficult to win the Champions League, while other Italian clubs don't have much money. In a next year, Turkey will have three super-strong clubs in the Champions League and Italy will only have Imoco, which has retained its core squad, but it's getting older: Wołosz, de Gennaro and Zhu won't be better than before. I fear this was Italy's last chance for Champions League win for many years.
