I missed the pole vault (you know, sleep)...but gonna be a tight race today!  Also, looking at forecast, Garland's 1500m seems to be quite slow compared to the others.  Would be kind of weird to see someone coming in almost dead last in a race, only to be crowned the victor of the competition.

I do think I overestimated Owens-Delerme's chances though, that 4:13 in the forecast is something he did twice, but both already three years ago (college and Eugene worlds), in recent years he has been more of a 4:25-4:35 runner which isn't gonna be enough if Garland has a decent run (4:45-4:55)

Alright, so the usual thing before commentators who don't really pay attention get all excited: yes, Kaul is likely to win the javelin. No, if he hits 70 meters (likely beating everyone else), that is not amazing, he needs to close in on 80.

Women's HJ will start at 1.88 which is quite high. Guess with 16 finalists the organizers don't want this to drag forever
