Going back to athletics, 6 medals is a very good result for Italy. I would prefer 6 medals with 1 gold rather than 2 golds of the same athlete. 

1 gold was missing, pity about Pichiardo today... 5,5 medals, because Palmisano's silver is in a non-Olympic competition, so it can be counted by 0.5.

Where they have good contacts, they're already coming back, but in athletics, they're having a really hard time, which is why they were kicked out 10 years ago. Unless there's a drastic change in leadership in world athletics, they won't be back anytime soon.

The last time I watched the World Athletics Championships on TVP was in 1999? I guess Szaranowicz was already commentating then?
