and don't name Nebiolo...he should burn in Hell and be forgotten right now

Whoever ruled our athletics in the first half of the 21st century, culminating in the embarrassing 2015 World Championships, should also burn in hell...

Absolutely, let people burn for all eternity because the sports didn't go so well.

Incompetent sports federation, just like incompetent governments, are subject to evaluation.

Yes, and losing their jobs and stuff. Not burning for all eternity if there is life after death :p

Wishing people eternal suffering because the sports didn't go well means you're taking sports too seriously mate

He used it as a metaphor, I think.

The funny thing is that the ruling class hasn't changed at all from 2015 to 2020. It's the same ruling class (Giomi & co) that won Italy five Olympic gold medals.

Then Giomi is an idiot and politically embarrassing, he shouldn't be doing anything anymore (he has currently been kicked out of the athletics federation and elected to the orienteering federation), but to think that it was all his fault...

PS. Giomi's whole clique has remained in place, he has simply changed the flag they wave.

But in what year did Stefano Mei become president of Fidal? And whose merit of this progress? Because around 2010-2015, it was a disaster for us: even in 2009, we had zero medals, if not for later disqualifications. If we were any good results, it was only in the race walk and marathon. Even you recently wrote that the progress was enormous.

January 2021, but in just a few months you cannot change the preparation and federal structure in any way.

    • this is not funny at all, pal
    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
    • Belgium is the luckiest in this story
    • One of the worst possible draw for us. Group really easy but having to face  or  in the Round of 32 is devastating.
    • Always dreamed Gretzky will draw Slovakia was another moment I can already remove from my things to do before die list
    • Finland have been awful in almost all winter sports, well beside ice hockey and cross-country from time to time, for a lot of years. It's very good to see them building people to challenge for wins again. Their new coach has done wonders it seems.
    • 14th June in Philadelphia against Cote d´Ivoire   20th June inToronto against Curacao   and 25th June in Philadeplphia to kick out  home    Not easy, but not the most difficult group. Should be okay. Vamos
