Four leading athletes from Jamaica and a runner from Nigeria have announced that they are in the process of changing their citizenship.

They are:

  • Stona (discus throw, Jamaica) - Olympic champion in Paris 2024.
  • Campbell (shot put, Jamaica) is a bronze medalist at the 2024 Olympics.
  • Pinnock (long jump, Jamaica) is the current world and Olympic vice-champion.
  • Hibbert (triple jump, Jamaica) is the world record holder in the U20 age group and a two-time medalist at the U20 World Championships.
  • Ofili (track, Nigeria) is the world record holder in the 150-m.
