Is there a full country list to everyone that is competing?

I am wondering if Serbia is competing? We have not competed since 2017, where we won 4 gold medals.

Hopefully we do, but unfortunately, I really doubt that we will.

It is a bit sad for a country that once hosted the games not to compete in them anymore.

I know that the competitor list for Judo is out on the IJF page.

But no Serbia.

Some smaller countries not well known for Judo including :CAM:BAN:PAK:NGR:SLE:SGP

Joonhwan Lee :KOR and Anna Monta Olek :GER are the highest-ranked judoka. (Both WRL 2)

as well as Hayun Kim :KOR , who just became world champion.

our athletics team isn't gonna be  there because they weren't confirmed ''system registration errors''.Fisu did not care to help at all.there were issues with the basketball team too but that was worked out fine because groups and everything for teams were set in april. This is pretty disgusting from the organizers if this is what really happened.[doesn't look like it was the organizers, looks like the student athletic federation dropped the ball really badly.it's what the main federation and a lot of the athletes are claiming.] and the organizers are obviously claiming that too.

Normally the results of the Universiad are published on this site: Results – Microplus Informatica

I suppose the system will be live within a few years. The results of the winter Universiade are also published on this page.

Unlike for the Soccer World Cup, for example, the US Teams for the team sports are not a national selection.  Instead, they just pick a single College Team and that then becomes Team USA.  So the US Women's Basketball team is basically the Texas Tech Red Raiders - but with US Nationals only.   Men's Basketball is Baylor, both Water Polo teams are UCLA.

I don't understand why the Universiades and Youth Olympic Festivals are recently always at the same time. You would think the 2 events, which pretty much target the same youth athletes would try to avoid each other.

    • Also a first: never before has a Dutch pair participated in the games, according to media rapports.
    • The Technical director of the Dutch Olympic Committee has, using his discretionary powers, decided to include them in the team. He cites “extra-ordinary circumstances”, but has not stated what they are. The use of these powers is quite rare. They were used in 2022 to nominate an alpine-skier.
