:CZE:EST and :GEO joined to the party. Meanwhile :ISL will make their decision in next week, just before deadline to submit on 15th September. They and some other countries seems to have the biggest problems with make offcial decision after this year controversies related with supervisor behaviour, Israeli participation despite war in Gaza and unfairly disqualification of :NED whose probably will miss the contest.

After all drama no country from 2024 didn't withdrew from 2025 contest, additionaly Montenegro will make a come back after 2 years break, they are also first country which already selected a song, 12 years later after her last participation Nina Zizic will compete again, initially a band called NeonoeN was set to participate but they withdrew as they released their song prior 1st September which broke the one of main rules of the contest.

In :SWE Melodifestivalen we have such artists as previous Eurovision contestants John Ludvik and 2015 winner Mans Zelmerlow. I'm wonder if he will make a come back as Loreen and will win again too, time will tell.

However in :ITA Sanremo we have also some returning artists as Francesca Michelin and Francesco Gabbani.

In :LAT Supernova 2022 contestans Citi Zeni and 2016 Justs will try make a comeback too.

    • Of the top teams the world with traditions, only Portugal didn`t play in 3 World Cups in a row: 1986-2002 (1990, 1994 and 1998), but then fewer teams played in the World Cup than now. I don't really remember what caused the crisis in Portuguese football in the 1990s or how it was done with this later? Perhaps we should follow their example?
    • Well... If not qualifying for the World Cup for the third consecutive time isn't enough to bring about change in Italy, I can't imagine what will be.
    • Gravina is simply stupid and probably has some kind of hold over other important key figures in Italian football, since he was elected in 2024 with a majority of over 90% of the votes... I have a hard time imagining it any other way. Compared to him, even Carraro, Berlusconi and Moggi seem like nice and kind gentlemens   Some people believe that Calciopoli in 2006 began the decline of Italian football and that may be true. It only got worse from there, not counting a single accidental Euro 2021 win- something similar to Greece in 2004. In 2009 Roberto Baggio prepared a 900-page report on necessary reforms in Italian football, but the then-FIGC board tossed it into the trash bin. Now we see the consequences...
    • I thought our former football President was greedy, selfish, power hungry and delusional, but apparently he has an equal counterpart in Gravina. Some people just lack common decency.
    • Well, it's possible that Italians may be more bitter towards short track officials after the robbery they perpetrated against Sighel at the Olympics and therefore more willing to comment and criticize them, but it doesn't make the decision any less ridiculous.   Also, the fact we are Italians, and therefore used to the low standards of football refereeing, makes us especially qualified and trained to identify biased/crooked/incompetent judging
    • I think it was never in the history of our sport has there been anyone as brazen and stupid as Gravina. Before presidents would resign, or at least hide for a while, rather than go into a full-blow scandalous attitude with full larrogance and pride. I hope this idiot gets fired anyway, even if he doesn't resign.
