No, but it would give Canada the chance to earn a second quota at the final qualifying competition.

To get two or three quotas from Worlds you need two or three skaters / pairs to qualify for the free skate.

Thank you, the thing I read was wrong then (or worded weirdly)

The ISU is allergic to writing a good qualification document.

Great skate by Sadovsky!

Never doubted him! 🤞🤦‍♂️🙏

Yes, I'm sure we all had complete faith in Sadovsky /s

Credit to him though, that was a really good state with only one major error.

Is it wrong that I still hope they can talk Messing out of retirement for next year?!

Pereira and (especially) Michaud not having a good outing, really looking dire for a third spot in pairs.

Edit: they will finish no lower than 11th, which means a third spot is still possible but it requires other teams to implode and/or for Stellato-Dudek and Deschamps to climb way, way up.

Yikes… well, at least in the long we don’t need to wonder why the scores are low

L/E seem like nice enough kids and it would be nice for them to go, but if we don’t get a 3rd spot I don’t think it will effect their ceiling
