There's no way he is making the Olympics, unfortunately. He would need to score top-8's in the World Cup and that seems like somewhat of a stretch I'm afraid  

Yeah, it lasted on there for about 3 or 4 days, they now are adding in the correct ones. Three more today I think. And no russians yet.

Yep, ,  and  made it today!

 

 came closer than I expected in the women's race, one chance left next week. It's kind of mixed: obviously I wish her the best and hope she does well, but also, every quota that is not gained by a nation is Brazil being one spot closer in the already near-impossible road towards a potential 3rd ticket, which I would selfishly welcome above everything else in terms of nations qualifying because that would take away such an infinite amount of stress

So only one female and one male cross-country skiier cleared. We can conclude from the FIS documentation that they qualify under the final 10 quota provisions as long as they get to Davos. Media reports seem to be saying that Korostelev may still fail IOC screening but I guess we will see.

Hmm, it's been updated by now: 4 men, 3 women in terms of cross-country skiing, unfortunately. I wonder how it works with multiple athletes from one NOC gaining a quota spot in that top-10 in the World Cup route. I mean, that route is only open to nations who have 0 quota places, surely it would be rather weird if that way an NOC can get multiple? Theoretically that would mean that it would have been better for an NOC to make sure they have no quota yet (if their only option at the time was 1), so they could get 2 now.

 

Edit: my bad, 1 man, 3 women. The other 3 men are support personnel. Wish it was the other way around

Ah ok, that's good. Do you happen to know if Russians and Belarussians are counted as the same, or are they - as in some sports - two separate sets of individual athletes (and therefore, in this case, two 'NOCs')?

They were counted sepatately in all the sports during Olympic qualifications.

So right now they are to gran 2 male and 2 female quotas.

 

How potential reallocation will work if the quotas approved by FIS will not be confirmed by the IOC? I really do not know ))
