Okay, I never thought I'd say this but some of you are making Orangehair seem reasonable now. It's getting pathetic.

I understand you of course want a forum to be a positive place because nobody wants to sit and read people moaning and whining, and objectively the results overall are good in the grand scheme of things, but if you can't get why people are finding the past week frustrating  then I don't know what to say. I'm not trying to be rude.

Matt just smashed his PB and the European record by 3/10ths of a second. That's a phenomenal run.

Like Josh, sometimes it just isn't meant to be.

Exactly. Can’t have any qualms about that as much as it hurts as a near miss. Men’s relay is going to be fierce.

So am I. I'm very much biting my tongue.

Kennedy wins too making it 18 for Aus compared to our 12, however even though this looks insurmountable I still think we can just do it with the following:

KJT Heptathlon

Men's 4x400m relay

Men's 800m

Women's Kieran

Women's Sprint

Men's Omnium

Men's Madison

Women's Madison

Women's Omnium

Women's Kite

Sinden Taekwondo

Cunningham Taekwondo

Jones Taekwondo

McGowen Taekwondo

Men's Pentathlon

I get where Epic is coming from, he's come through a torrent period in the 80s and 90s where we couldn't even buy a medal let alone the amount we have now, but given our recent success I think it's somewhat understandable for some of us to be annoyed at getting silver instead of gold (even though silver is still an amazing feat) as we're now a top sporting nation and we should really be producing more champions than we have done so far.

I'd be both happy and shocked if the men's madison and women's omnium even get a medal tbh. Who's even competing for us in the Women's Omnium?
