Winning any medal at the Olympics needs to be celebrated, regardless of the disappointment of some near misses.

Team GB have been performing extremely well across sports.

Obviously, still makes it super frustrating

Yes Jakob finishing 4th takes the dissapoinment off quite a bit.

Mixed relay triathlon vibes for me, didnt actually expect a win, but then the one i expected to beat us falters and we still didnt win

And it will be the same when AUS wins the team pursuit tomorrow lol

Only if you make your enjoyment about the number of golds!

I obviously don't agree with the NBC medal table but I do agree with the general ethos behind all medals being great and worthy of celebration.

Hell, I make a point of tracking the top 8 finishes precisely because I believe that show whether sport is in a good place generally, rather than just fortunate circumstance of a few great athletes.

Personally i will be disappointed if we finish below both of our closest sporting rivals, but we are doing really well, i came in thinking 18 golds minimum and i think we need that otherwise the media are going to get their claws in, still, a long way to go, fingers crossed to a strong finish led by a welsh rocket!!

disclaimer: i am old enough for atlanta 96 to be relevant haha so i understand every success should be celebrated

I'm old enough for Seoul to be relevant. And my bad back reminds me of that fact every day. :d
