2024 Olympics - Day 7 (August 2)

Day 7 isn’t as busy of a day as some of the others, but there’s still a couple of medal chances, here are the main things to watch from a Canadian perspective.

Damien Warner starts off his decathlon campaign, Felix Auger-Aliassime takes on Alcaraz in the men’s singles semifinals in tennis for a chance at a guaranteed medal, later partnering up with Gaby Dabrowski in the mixed doubles bronze medal match to take on Koolhof/Schuurs, Sophiane Methot might be a dark-horse for a medal in women’s trampoline (although I’m gonna be honest, I don’t follow trampoline that much so unsure on the strength of the field when she won bronze at a World Cup) but first she’ll have to get through qualificationMo Ahmed in the first stadium final of the athletics program will go for a medal in the men’s 10,000m, and in swimming Josh Liendo and Kylie Masse will compete in the men’s 50m freestyle/women’s 200m backstroke finals.

I’ll do Day 6’s overview in a couple of hours, I’m tired.
