I'm beginning to feel as though I'm being held hostage by my TV. I know I've been betraying my national bias but today's heroics by the British women's hockey team and Nick Skelton have left me open-mouthed in admiration. Here's the position at the end of day 14, barring any reinstatements of relay disqualifications. Canada are back in the Top 10. Tajikistan and Haiti gain their first, and in all probability only points.

Blanka was the last Croatian athlete to compete in Rio and she won our 10th medal. Amazing, I've never expected us to win 10 medals (including 5 golds!). My hope was to get 7 medals, what would break our record of 6 medals from London 2012.

Between 1992 and 2000 we won only 7 medals overall so we really came a long way. Thank you, thank you

I was just thinking that Denmark is the best European nation in terms of medals per capita. Very good Performance

Croatia should be on 2nd place in that regard if I'm not mistaken.
