The Men's T20 World Cup begins today. With :USA v :CAN

I guess they wanted the United States to start off with a win :p.

Still, I'm glad Canada was able to qualify, even if we are going to be the weakest team in the tournament.

And in helpful fashion, the competition is being streamed in the US only on a niche ppv channel that most people will never have in their tv package. Sigh.

I'm not sure if it works but with vpn of non broadcast countries you can watch on ICC app. In India it's available freely on Disney+ Hotstar app. Also you can subscribe to willow tv which is giving free trial for 7 days then opt out before 7 days

I mean its cricket, most people don't know/care about the sport in the US

But my point is that you can't change that if it is stuck on Willow TV. The only people who are going to be watching that are those who already care.

At the very least someone at either the ICC or US cricket board should have tried to get it on a more accessible channel. Even if we're talking only about FS1 or something.

Hell, ESPN+ regularly has cricket on it and probably has a wider reach than willow TV.

Oh, I'm fine. I'm just annoyed from a viewpoint of hoping that the sport would actually try and increase its visibility somewhat.

I was thinking about watching some matches, but I don't really want to pay an extra fee for it, unfourtunately :(

Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
