People in the CazeTV comments were making jokes and saying they played the anthem on YouTube. :lol:

But unfortunately, this is far from the organization's only mistake. Not a good sign, since they want to host the senior Pan American Games, right?

hi. im in asuncion since saturday, today is my last day. Organization is very very good, the two sites (Comite Olimpico and Secretaria de Deportes) are big and have a really good infraestructure.

I can confirm that Asuncion is ready to host the senior pan am games. Everything is really good.

Yes, there are some mistakes. Playing the youtube anthem of Puerto Rico (i was on the stadium so i can confirm), earlier they were going to start with the medals ceremony and they forgot the flags. Then, another one, in the BMX Freestyle stadium, you had two tickets, the ones who pay for that sport and the ones who pay general access, well, the ones who paid for that session were sent to a corner in which a tower blocked half the circuit, which was really weird.

But yeah, in general terms, everything is really good, only some minors mistakes

The broadcast quality of some sports was also poor (especially judo). But perhaps they'll take note of this and improve for 2031.

In any case, I think if it's at least better than Santiago 2023, I'll be satisfied.

I think Judo is the only olympic sport where I have no doubt that we are strong and that we will continue to be strong in the future.

7 gold medals so far, another good tournament for our young athletes. :yes

11 individual gold medals which means Brazil can send 2 athletes to most categories in Lima 2027?

Organization seems fine from what I have watched, but as @hoversaBR mentioned, broadcasting has been faulty so far (I lost count of how many times our commentators had to say that their channel is not responsible for the images). Of course we should expect better if they were to host the Pan Ams.

As far as I know, the results provider (Bornan) and host broadcaster (Mediapro) are the same between Santiago 2023 and Asuncion 2025. It seems odd there'd be such a difference, but maybe logistics on the ground are different (or I have the host broadcaster wrong).

If correct, this should mean that we would have 25 judokas in Lima, which would be insane, since in the last Pan American Championships we had "only" 18 athletes and won 17 medals. :mumble:

I'm able to watch live sports at panamsportschannel.org, but are replays anywhere?  (I'm in the US, if that matters.)

Edit: I just found their YouTube channel with some replays. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLt1SEUBnjt85FoKFfruRlkZE4PzWPA3qu

    • I think I can live with the draw , not a bad group at all. just a week ago our mafia coach said his dream group is Belgium, Egypt and Haiti, he almost got that !   but it's really hard for me (and so many others) to cheer for this team, A mafia boss coach, disgusting group of players. I never had this feeling about any NT in any sport before but still the national team is the national team. you have to like it  coaches and players come and go, the team is what matters.   if the team makes it to the competition, I'm sure there will be lots of Iranians in the stadium despite the orange's ban, that will never be a problem.
    • Belgium is the luckiest in this story
    • One of the worst possible draw for us. Group really easy but having to face  or  in the Round of 32 is devastating.
