QF

Germany vs Argentina: Germany win

Great Britain vs India: GB Win (on PShuffles - going very specific on this!)

Netherlands vs Australia: Netherlands Win

Spain vs Belgium: Belgium Win

Semi

Germany vs Great Britain: Germany win

Netherlands vs Belgium: Belgium win

Bronze

Great Britain vs Netherlands: GB win (on PShuffles - feeling very Womens 2016 Rio with my predictions but make it bronze)

Gold

Belgium vs Germany: Belgium

🥇 Belgium

🥈 Germany

🥉 Great Britain

After many disappointing tournaments, it's nice to see the GB men on much better form, Bronze would be lovely and my prediction is loaded with hope and optimism. Can't wait for tomorrow!!!

Ha. Tbh if we couldn't beat 10 men we didn't deserve to win the game. Poor performance from them today.

I won't say! :p but here are my points of view individually:

-Germany is a bit stronger than in Tokyo.

-Argentina is a bit stronger too.

-GB is stronger.

-India is weaker.

-Belgium is weaker.

-Spain is stronger.

-Netherlands is pretty much the same level.

-Australia is weaker.

Overall this is a much more open tournament compared to Tokyo when Belgium v Australia was the obvious final beforehand. I can see any of these teams taking medals.

Two different winners already. So sadly Argentina would not be winning 😛

Ah mathematical jargon 😂

But yeah I think India would be happier to face Argentina as compared to Germany. Although I feel any team can beat any team honestly now. This is an exciting time to watch field hockey.

Much more exciting than the women's tournament in which I already know gold and silver medalist.

    • I think the Dutch men (especially in long distances) are simply not good enough. We've been leaders in long distances for decades, but we've always had great talents like De Jong, Romme, Bergsma, Kramer, and Roest. They're not around right now, so we're focusing more on short distances, but there's a certain Stolz who reigns supreme.   What I've noticed is that many newcomers (Jilek, Lubineaud etc) originally come from inline skating. The Netherlands should look into that too. We also need to be open to new training methods, like those of the Swede Nils Svensson, who won two gold medals in Beijing with a unique training regime.   Good luck with Ghiotto, I will definitely cheer for him: such a friendly person and a beautiful skater. He really deserves a gold medal.

    • The all Dutch men seemed out of form in Inzell. Could this mean some intense strength training during this period? Overall, I think that, the progress in the men's long-distance events has been incredible since last year and I have the impression that both Ghiotto and the Netherlands team haven't caught on to some new equipment updates? The times achieved this season by: Eitrem, Jilek, Lubinaud, Semyrunyyi and Davson are incredible in terms of time progress year by year. But considering the financial potential of the Netherlands, I'm surprised they could have to by left behind technologically? Unfortunately, this doesn't surprise me in Italy's case, as we don't even have a single indoor track to test our technological innovations – the one in Milan is currently inaccessible even to the hosts. Of course, if Italy were a normal country, who supported their own athletes, the track in Milan should have been available only for the Italian team for many months ago, where would be testing various innovations there, but unfortunately that is not the case, because we live where we live
