Will never understand this sport. Never.

Trying my best, but can not understand a single thing.

I´ll give it another 15 minutes of chance though

Just watch the lights, it's what I do to know who scored first

Epee - Touch area is torso only

Foil - Touch area is whole body

Sabre - Touch area is waist up

Foil - torso* only

Epee - whole body* and no other rules basically. Whoever touches first scores the point.

but, this is the thing that confuse me the most, green, red, white at same time... I am always lost

It’s quite simple for the most part.

Green means you scored the point, and red means you got hit.

White on the other hand, isn’t as clear. It means the hit was outside of the piste.

Green and red are for the two fencers. One has the green, the other has the red. White means touch in an off target touch (invalid area).

But in sabre and foil, hitting first doesn't necessarily mean you win the point.
