Great stuff from Remco and kudos to Madouas for hanging tough. As good as it reasonably could have got for the French.

Broom wagon for :GBR and :NED though.

Yeah, this was bad. Evenepoel is like Van der Poel in Glasgow though: if he gets a gap, he's gone.

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

The guy is lucky he is Belgian, big countries have advantages, if he was from some thirdworldistan he would be out, the car must be shared with other minnows, ofc super belgium can have 2 cars and one of them right at the front of the caravane.

Oh completely. And this is a RR, so you can never come in with expectation, only hope. I just think that not even getting a top 10 is a bit of a bad look for both nations.

I give you guys a bit more leeway, because MVdP clearly was trying and Dylan worked to try and bring the gap back.

But we have no excuse. Pidcock, maybe after his exertions in the MTB, But We were on the back foot all the way through, with the exception of Fred going in that ill fated group and he died very quickly. And I really don't see the reasoning for putting Tarling in there to trundle around in about 50th, rather than using him for the track. Just seems an odd set of tactical decisions.
