Road Cycling at the Summer Olympic Games Paris 2024

That’s correct. Tratnik was announced some time ago. Olympics ITT is less than a week after the TDF ITT and Pogacar is (obviously) prioritising the TDF

EDIT; it’s a flat ITT in Paris so the likelihood of Pog winning is remote. He might have done it if it was hillier

Looking more and more like a straight three up hit between Remco, Ganna and Tarling

Don’t know if they’re the last, but they definitely haven’t published it. Some countries haven’t announced teams yet either

Might be waiting for the TDF to finish

Men’s likely starters

Women’s likely starters

You can see who’s confirmed too

There as been a bit of noise in french fans circles about the absence of Benoit Cosnefroy.

TDF will only finish like 5 days before.  At that point teams will be set already.   But there is other cycling events.  Like track.

Just because they’re ready to announce, doesn’t mean they won’t wait. In fact they might not make any announcement at all

Understandably so. Tough choice though....I think personally I'd have gone for Cosnefroy over either Laporte or Madouas.

    • That was known from the start for  and will be planned for.   Sadly just the reality of sports in North America. Canada and the US are both huge, a flight from Vancouver to Halifax or from Seattle to Miami is north of five hours. Every sports league in North America has to deal with this kind of travel logistics on the regular, so none of this will seem particularly unusual to a North American player.
    • That’s not a long distance, it’s barely a 2h flight and there is no difference in timezone. Easily doable for fans as well.
