Shooting ISSF Shotgun Final World Olympic Qualifier 2024

Recommended Posts

Quota Skeet (W)

:SWE & :IND

Our 21st Shooting quota . 21/24 is a fabulous effort.

This will be our 2nd Skeet (W) quota .
Will be interesting to see if our federation exchange a men’s quota to get the 2nd men’s Skeet quota , which will allow us  two mixed teams in Skeet.

Maheshwari..... What an achievement..... India did so well to almost catch up ( 21 quota places) with china not going to win any more quota places to add to their .....( 22 quota places ) .....

I was amazed by our women shotgun shooters... This was always Indias weakest segment in shooting , till now if my memory serves me right we had only one women shotgun shooter qualifying ever in shotgun ... Shagun in 2012 .... Now we have 3/4 quotas.... That is amazing good....

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)
