Ogreman 355 Posted April 17 #12 Share Posted April 17 India don't need to win two events. Only Japan who already have the M1x qualified need to win two events if they want to qualify two boats from this regatta. India will almost certainly get two boats qualified here. You can predict that India will qualify two boats here, but having it as an expectation while also saying that Hong Kong will be a contender is puzzling. If Results from 2022 Asian Games are simulated, then quotas look like this Men's Single Sculls - Men's Lightweight Double Sculls - Women's Single Sculls - Women's Lightweight Double Sculls - CC @Roamingrover86 Josh

I even have doubts re the qualifying document. Even I understood that one NoC can qualify 2 boats irrespective of gender or placings. But then someone shared another document which said only if those boats win their respective races will they qualify from continental qualifiers. Either way I am still hoping & expecting 2 boats from this qualifiers. Edited April 17 by Roamingrover86

intoronto 5,583 Posted April 17 #16 Share Posted April 17 I'm confused too. I thought to qualify both boats in the same gender meant both needed to win?

Its not required to win the race, just within the qualifying spots is enough. In Africa, finished third in Men's Single Sculls and first in Women's SIngle Sculls and qualified in both boats Here's screenshot of the document

I don't think there any gender related rules in the qualification system anymore. intoronto
