Damn it, 16th place for Rodeš. We are so often unlucky in this sport.

17th actually, only 0.09 seconds from 15th. Such a shame, but great result anyway.

Dear Lord what a run for Rebensburg

Brem needed to finish 4th, she finished 4th

 

592 vs 590 and Brem wins the GS World Cup, very much deserved

So sorry for Rebensburg, she was definitely the best athlete in giant slalom this season, sadly she had a pretty bad start into the season. Rebensburg with a better first run would be the Shiffrin of giant slalom.

This was a rather boring season on the womens side for me. No Maze or Fenninger and Shiffrin/Vonn with a lot of bad luck, otherwise Gut never wouldve won the overall world cup. Next year we should see an amazing fight for the overall world cup, hopefully Shiffrin/Rebensburg will get better in giant slalom/speed events. We could see an amazing fight in all disciplines except slalom. In speed events we could see a fight between Maze/Fenninger/Vonn/Gut/Weirather/Rebensburg/all the other girls and in giant slalom we could see a fight between Fenninger/Maze/Brem/Rebensburg/Shiffrin. Maybe Vlhova or Holdener can "grow up" to challenge Shiffrin ...

 

On the mens side i really wouldve liked to see Svindal winning the overall world cup, but he also had a lot of bad luck and Hirscher was just too consistent. I hope Svindal (if he scores better in giant slalom and wont get injured again) or maybe even Pintaurault (if he improves in slalom) will challenge Hirscher, but in maybe opinion Kristoffersen has the best chance to beat Hirscher.
