Update:

Boxing:

Thanks to ogreman's wonderful work in this post, we now have a better boxing rankings. I made a few changes though.

  • Kept the universality places unchanged from my previous work.
  • Decided not to include the refugee athlete from the simulation because in 2020, refugee athletes weren't apart of the official quota
  • Still decided to include Russian athletes in the rankings because we have no idea whether or not they'll be excluded from the OQT's

I'm a little concerned about South Korea, this will be our smallest delegation since 1984. Even though we have a chance of returning to top-10 of the medal table this time, the number of athletes qualified reflects a lot in the situation of our sport in general.

Salkazanov

and at lesser extent Sagan (MTB) and Mokošová, but nothing can equal the canoeing sprint K4 fiasco, nothing.

Next edition when we will be a Tripartite country I guess...

Less than 30 for sure, do not see how we will be even able to come close to our smallest team ever from Tokyo. the declining downward trajectory games after games is pretty clear, but that´s the reality... maybe we will need to change continent :p

    • Unfortunate, but it doesn't change the fact that I'm looking forward to Thursday evening, when the team captain's meeting is over and we have our very first World Cup start list of the season. Always a cool moment to see who's there and everything
    • Today I unpacked some of the boxes in which we have put my way too many books to move to our house, and I came across these beauty's I hadn't seen for a while     Absolutely recommended, tough to get for a decent price, but they are such an interesting read with lots of very interesting little stories! Still looking for at least 1900, 1904 and 1906, but not really in the right moment to spend money on that now, so the wait goes on
    • Which I guess is part of why unfortunately 'our' first wild card attempt of the season was rejected last week
