By my calculations, even if we lose to Japan and beat France, and the Netherlands beat Serbia and Korea but lose to the USA, it would still likely go down to that Canada vs Netherlands match. First of all, US has been struggling so I wouldn’t be surprised to see Netherlands upsetting them. Second of all, if that does indeed happen, it would require us to probably beat Netherlands 3-0 (potentially 3-1, depending on sets against the other opponents) and we always play 5-setters against them. Third of all, we’ve been playing horribly the last couple of weeks (especially in our last 2 games against Serbia and Italy), unlike week 1 where our attacking stats were way up (and even in the 4-set loss to Brazil, both teams played really well, Canada just ran out of gas near the end) We’ll need to be about 1 point behind Netherlands at worst entering each nations final match, as a sweep over France awards more points than South Korea, but I don’t even think it’ll be close at that point. We are stuggling against Serbia C, it's embarrassing to see how we lost the third set 25-18 (after 7-2 and 14-14).
