Recommended Posts

So, what we have no. My calculations - sum before the last world cup. Nothing discarded.

Thus, to add points to its sum team has to beat its own worst result.

1 :FRA 373 - worst 25 points (9th place)

2 :HUN 304 - 28 (7)

3 :KOR 291 - 21 (13)

4 :UKR 281 - 32 (5)

5 :USA 258 - 26 (8)

6 :ITA 250 - 26 (8)

7  :BUL 212 - 22 (12)

8  :JPN 206 - 21 (13)

9  :ESP 197 - 23 (11)

10 :AZE 194 - 24 (10)

...

14 :GRE 142 (nothing to discard)

15 :ALG 134 (8 to sidcard)

16 :HKG 123 (8 to sidcard)

17 :MEX 121 (nothing to discard)

18 :TUR 100 (nothing to discard)

there's also a small chance for the :USA to overtake :UKR and get back to the situation where we were before Today, but it's a very remote chance

That's true, but the only case where :UKR would miss out the Top5 is if :ITA takes the gold medal and :USA silver. In this case, :ITA would overtake :USA and make it to the Top4, granting :UKR the European spot.

Potential brackets for the next World Cup:

A lot will determine for the 1/4

:FRA/:KOR to face :BUL/:JPN

:HUN/:UKR to face :USA/:ITA

Of course, if they proceed from 1/8

Interesting fact: if USA and Italy will be in a same half or quarter, Ukraine 'll get the spot. So it means that there is a scenario in which we can receive quota before competition even starts
