I was? Not much more than anyone else before meeting their girlfriend's/boyfriend's family I think  But yes, we got along excellent, so I'm very happy with that

That was not as much of a worry for me anymore. I mean, I can understand half of what they say when they speak a bit slowly, I can answer a few basic things (although my biggest problem is being too shy to actually do so ) and in case nothing worked, someone was there who speaks both English and Portuguese.

The black beans are a lot better! They're really unusual for me but I like them much more. Rice, black beans (even better if there's some meat in there) and some farinha sprinkled over it, let's go.

I would check this morning, since I usually check my weight in the morning. The morning I left for Brazil it was 87.something, now it was...
