What's being said in the news here the past two days about this is that apparently it's quite popular among (cycling) tourists. And usually considered quite safe as well, although not as safe as Turkmenistan.

fire is destroying California , earthquake/volcano in Indonisia , Air crash in Switzerland +20 deads , one Czech tourist has been killed by one Shark attack in Egypt , riots in Bengladesh
