dcro 10,210 Posted May 21, 2020 #5791 Share Posted May 21, 2020 Anyone else feels like we will all lose our minds if this 1.5m thing continues for a whole year (or more)? I have reentered the society about a week ago, and already I feel mentally exhausted from these measures. #banbestmen

Shops here aren't that full anyway, so keeping some distance isn't very complicated most of the time. That's pretty much the biggest thing, I really couldn't care less about having to keep distance when I'm running outside for example, that's easy I haven't yet been in a situation where this distance thing actually annoyed me or anything. . An anonymous American offered her a sum of money to work as...you ain't gonna guess this....an escort "He sent the offer a few months ago in a DM on Instagram, I never expected that. I'm not someone who starts yelling then, so I kindly answered I wasn't interested. He answered by saying "Wait, don't refuse immediately, you don't know the terms yet." It was a pretty large amount of money, 180.000 euro...per month. It kinda made me wonder if I really look like someone who'd accept that." Yeah, one of Polish tabloids run this story a couple of days ago Is it the right time to remind everyone Suzy Favor Hamilton ended up working as an escort back in the day? Quote After her prostitution became public, the Big Ten renamed its award for Female Athlete of the Year which had previously carried her name. Favor Hamilton also lost several sponsorships and athletic business relationships, including with Nike. The sheer stupidity of people, institutions and companies knows no limits. . They have a right to protect their brand those. It’s same situation with NASCAR after that driver used the n-word, the the Korean football league after a team filled seats with sex dolls. It generates poor publicly, and it can harm the public image. These actions have real damaging effects on institutions. That said, I believe (most) everyone deserves a second chance. I also think that issues like this should be handled on a case to case basis. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. Olympian1010 7,971 Posted May 21, 2020 #5799 Share Posted May 21, 2020 Prostitution is a fair line of work though. However, I can see how brands might not want to be associated with someone in the sex industry. “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. They just seem to 'be there', Americans seem to be the most intolerable (in literally any sport ever, one might add) since you're pretty much always expecting some brainless 'U S A! U S A! U S A!' to be droning on from the stands Anyhow, the point made in that post is absolutely excellent, about how it's sad that the Olympics (and sports in general) are more about a national pride thing ("athlete A wins and he has the same nationality in his passport as I do, wow!") instead of a thing of actually appreciating the athletes no matter their nationality. I invite you and @Olympian1010 to try Indonesian style of over-patriotic support
